Autumn Wardrobe Essentials Every Girl Needs
A new season calls for a wardrobe change. Every season there’s wardrobe essentials that a woman should have in their closet. You should consider your climate, lifestyle, and personal style aesthetic when determining what you actually need to add to your closet. AND since summer is almost over it will soon be time to transition your wardrobe from summer to autumn.
Ankle boots can range from casual to dressy and everything in between, and then there are various heights, which you can style differently depending on the length of your pants or style or skirt/dress. You can choose from suede, sock or leather ankle boots. Whether worn with a dress, skirt, or jeans, ankle boots go with everything in your closet. I would style a pair of stiletto ankle boots with blue skinny jeans for a look that can transition from day to night. OR a colorful print dress with a pair of white ankle boots. Ankle boots and midi-length hemlines make the perfect outfit combo.
Over the knee boots are a must have. Perfect for those chilly days, these boots will keep you warm and on-trend with ease. Over-the-knee boots can be worn by day and night. You can style them with oversized sweaters, skirts, dresses, and casual shorts. You can choose from suede and leather varieties in a range of heights, styles and colors. Opt for black boots to match all your outfits or a color, such as red or bright orange to give your outfit a pop of color. I would go for black over-the-knee boots paired with a leather skirt, a plain v-neck tee, and a cardigan just in case it gets chilly. Another fall outfit that’s my favorite is over-the-knee boots over my favorite pair of skinny jeans, paired with a button-up and an oversized blazer.
When it comes to denim we’ll be seeing a little bit of everything this fall. Skinny jeans are still the top, but they’re getting some competition from the return of flares and bootcut styles. High-waisted jeans, cropped straight and cropped flared style are probably the most fashion-forward styles right now. It’s okay to experiment with newer style, but try to wear what looks best on you, taking into account your personal style. I would go for a pair of cropped straight jeans paired with socks booties, and an oversized sweater or turtleneck.
It’s not a surprise that sweaters are essential for the fall. The fall is all about cozy sweaters, whether it’s turtlenecks, pullovers, cardigans, or oversized sweaters. My favorite thing about fall is oversized sweaters. The larger the sweater is, the more comfortable you will be. Oversized sweaters have different shapes, they can be knitted in different techniques or they can have masculine elements. An oversized sweater would look great paired with a skirt or skinny jeans, and ankle boots.
Who said dresses were only for the spring and summer. This fall midi length and floral dresses are the trend. Jumpsuits are also a big trend this summer that is carrying over into fall. Dresses are a wardrobe essential we can consistently count on. Any summer dress can make the switch to autumn with the quick help of a layer or two. Since animal print is a trend that won’t be going anywhere, I would opt for a midi-length, cheetah print dress paired with ankle sock boots.
