Awaiting the Fall Season

Fall Seasonal fashion ideasThe greatest season of all is almost upon us…fall! I know people get overly excited about the summer season, but in reality fall is where the magic happens. It’s a time to bask in the sweet scent of pumpkin, be constantly warm and cozy by a fire, and relish in all the new TV shows while sipping on pumpkin spice latte. There’s also something really pretty about seeing the leaves go orange, slowly fall off and then assemble into big pile of reds, oranges and browns on the ground. Giving you the perfect backdrop for all your selfies.

Fall Activities & Holidays

Of course, fall comes along with fun activities that you’ll want to partake in. Go apple picking and bring home more apples to bake apple crisps, apple pies, apple cider donuts, apple tarts, and more. Have a bonfire with family and friends before it gets too cold outside. Start preparing for Halloween, make your costume from scratch or shop for it. Participate in the part of football season, regardless of whether or not you’re sports fan. Go pumpkin picking and carve out your own pumpkin – and roast the pumpkin seeds for a nice snack. Celebrate Oktoberfest with beer and sausages. Tour a winery with all your girlfriends. Let’s not forget celebrating Thanksgiving with family, even if it gets a little crazy at times. There are so many activities to experience in the fall that you won’t want to miss out on.

Fall Colors

The authority on all things color this fall is bolder and bright hues. The focus this season is on self-expressive colors that escape the norm seasonal structure. While mixing and combining unexpected colors can result in a signature look, we are also seeing these fall colors similarly impactful standing alone. Many of these colors make a powerful, creative statement on their own. Autumn hues evoke the feeling of leaves on the forest floor. The fall/winter 2018 top 10 color palette includes: red pear (deep red), valiant poppy, nebulas blue, ceylon yellow, martini olive, russet orange (forest floor orange), ultra violet, crocus petal (lavender), limelight (yellow-green) and quetzal green (blue-green).

Fall Fashion Trends

Fall calls for sweater weather! Is there anything better than a size-too-big knit sweater over your favorite pair of jeans? AND let’s put away our flip flops and sandals because it’s ALL about boot season. Over-the-knee boots, combat boots, ankle boots, open-toe boots, high-heeled boots, rain boots, and more boots. Autumn is coming along with a batch of fresh fashion ideas. This season includes an abundance of layering: blanket throws, puff jackets, capes and waterproofs all together. Python, zebra, cheetah, croc and more animal prints, whether it’s on a dress, skirt, blouse. Midi skirts with a hem to hit just above the ankle paired with over-the-knee boots. The 80’s are back with power shoulders and oversized ruffles. Shimmering lurex, foils and bodycon bandage dresses are back, ready for you to get your party on.
