Summer Fashion Trends

beachAside from fall, summer has to be the best season for fashion. One of the main reasons we look forward to summer is the weather, especially the sunshine. So grab that swimsuit you’ve been saving all winter long in the back of your closet, and head to the beach for some waves. Summer means tanning on the beach with your girlfriends, while sipping on iced, cold mojitos.

Summer Activities and Holidays

You’ll find it easiest in the summer to get into workout mode. It can be hard to find the motivation to work out when it’s freezing outside and all you want to do is eat loads of carbs, but when it’s warm outside there’s no reason to say no to a run. Or why not do your workout routine outdoors? Let’s not forget the 3-day weekends we get from summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day and Fourth of July. These are typically the weekends where family and friends plan beach getaways or huge BBQ parties.

Summer Colors

This summer’s strong vibrant color palette includes pastel hues on light fabrics, nuances going from lavender to pink. Lavender is a romantic yet elegant color that you can wear on a masculine suit this summer. Other summer colors to totally indulge in include rapture rose (rapture rose is a princess-like), intense pink shade, sky blue, light green, military green, milk white, chocolate brown, yellow and tomato red. Rock these colors all summer long, whether it’s with a bathing suit, top, dress, shorts – you name it, the options are endless.

Summer Fashion Trends

This summer’s fashion trends include vintage tropical shirts, neon green dresses, women’s floral dresses, animal prints and more. It’s time to invest in tropical print shirts that you’re dad would definitely approve of. Neon is also making quite a statement as it’s on everything from dresses to shoes. The return of the bucket hat is something we did not see coming. It’s the perfect accessory to wear with everything from swimsuits to floral dresses. Bike shorts are a trend I’m totally here for this summer. You can style these sporty bottoms beneath wrap dresses, oversize button-downs, and even with oversize blazers and sneakers.
