Sweaters for Warmth and Style

Stay warm and stylish this fall with knit sweaters. With the fall weather approaching soon, it’s time to add cozy fall sweaters to your wardrobe. So what is it that what look for when going sweater shopping? Three things that come to mind when investing in a sweater are: the fabrics, versatility, and your personal taste. There are turtlenecks, pullovers, cardigans, acrylic sweaters, sweaters embellished with metallic yarns and so many more knit sweaters.

Wool-Blend Sweaters for a Cold Night Out

During the fall/wintertime there’s one thing one cannot live without…a good wool-blend sweater. You can invest in a wool-blend sweater that is a solid, nude-toned or black color. You can take this sweater to go on a cold night out with your girlfriends. Wear it over your party dress and your good to go!

Hello Turtlenecks

Turtlenecks are a must-have item during this season. Consider investing in solid colored turtlenecks…try going for a black turtleneck or lighter hues to add to your wardrobe. I really prefer big wool turtlenecks over the more sleek versions. Thick wool turtlenecks have more of a cozy casual winter vibe.

Oversized All Day Everyday

When I think about fall/winter season there’s one thing that comes to mind…oversized sweaters! The oversized sweater is essential for these seasons. You can wear it as is or layer the sweater with a button up shirt underneath. There’s nothing more that feels nice and cozy for the fall/winter weather than this sweater.

Show Off a Little Skin

Cropped hoodies are a great way to show off a little skin in the colder months to come. I would wear a cropped hoodie with my favorite high waisted jeans and some black booties. A cropped hoodie would also look great with mom jeans since the trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Preppy Vibes

We cannot forget about the classic, preppy-inspired V-neckline that can be paired with everything. This is a must-have for your closet this season. You can pair with a turtleneck blouse or bottom-down shirt. I would wear with one of my favorite pairs of jeans or even with some trousers, for a day in the office.

Sweater Styling Tips and Ideas

If you want an edgy, vintage look try tucking in your sweater into a miniskirt or a midi skirt. Black and lighter hues are great for sweaters, but you can also try experimenting with brighter colors. This fall bright and pastel colors are in. I would go for pastel lavender, or a bright orange. If you’re looking for a simple look, you can pair your sweater with some jeans and sneakers and off you are. Overalls won’t be going anywhere this season. Pair your sweater with overalls. On the days where it’s extra cold, I usually like to layer my turtleneck sweater with a knit cardigan, or even my leather jacket. I also like to add chunky scarves to my look.
