New Season, New Fashion Trends
With every new season, comes new fashion trends. This fall’s fashion trends include familiar patterns, colors, coats and layering tricks. While it’s hard to say goodbye to summer, the transition from summer to fall comes with its advantage. The cooler weather means more outfit option to choose from and who doesn’t love that? But, leave it to street style to give us an indication of what fashion trends are in this approaching fall season.
Looking Fierce
Print on print, they’re no such thing as too much print upcoming fall season. Animal print is apparently the new neutrals. From animal print two-piece sets to oversized animal print coats. I’m not just talking about leopard and cheetah print this time around. This trend is stronger than ever with more to offer, from tigers to zebras and even snakes. The best part of wearing animal print is that despite their bold background, they actually function as neutrals you can style almost any outfit around. I would go for an exotic tiger print maxi dress.
Cozy Up in Layers
One of the biggest fall/winter fashion trends is the 3-5 layer style, especially when using oversized and deconstructed pieces. Whether it’s a dress over a turtleneck statement sleeve sweater, or a thing cardigan underneath a jacket. But, there’s one thing I do know for sure, you can play with layers all you want and still stay in style this upcoming season. You double your sweaters or style a dress over a button-down, there’s no rules to this. I would go for a vest over a turtleneck long sleeve with a statement belt on my waist and pair it with booties for the ultimate fall look.
Show Off Your Leg Day Results
Side slits are still going strong and is one of the sexiest fall/winter fashion trends of 2018-2019. Whether it’s a slit up the side of skirts or dresses, side slits will give your modest look a bit of sexiness. Go for a longer silhouette with a slit and pair it with a simple top and jewelry. This way the focus is on the slit. I would also pair this outfit with some heels, preferably ones with a wrap ankle to add to the look.

Romantic Ruffles
The ruffles trend this fall is giving off romantic feels. But the main focus this fall are ruffled sleeves, on both short and long styles. Ruffles are used as little, refined details or all over. Not only do they look great on sleeves, but on dresses and skirts. Ruffle skirts of different length can be styled quite differently to generate different expressions. That being said, they are quite easy to pull off. I love ruffles, ruffle skirts are definitely my go to. I would go for a maxi ruffle skirt and a white button up shirt, with statement earrings to complete my look.
Puffs to Keep You Warm
Bright colored puffers in oversize bomber form are a thing and I’m loving it. A puffer coat is the without a doubt the best sportier and more casual coat you can get your hands on. You can invest in a metallic cropped puffer jacket and combine it with a pair of aviator sunglasses and boots. But, whether long or short, puffer jackets are meant to go with jeans and leggings. The best options are boyfriend ones or stylish skinnies. You can also give your outfit a bit of a touch by adding a bold colored knit sweater.
